November 17th 1974 : Having just clinched the Supersaloon series title in the Wella Life Tex sponsored finale what better way to round the day off by unwinding with a Caravan Race !  In the mid-70`s race organisers had some pretty imaginitive ideas to add extra entertainment for the often quite large crowds. The Wombles , Radio 1 DJ one-make races and Caravan races were just three.

Mick was making a guest appareance against the regular championship runners and had a collison with his own caravan on lap 2 ! He recovered however to take 2nd place so all was good in the end.
